Well it finally snowed like 6 inches here. Which is sort of strange seeing how we have flowers blooming and everything. Jordan is enjoying it so much. It got just warm enough that the snow melted a bit and now the roads are covered in a sheet of ice. It makes for good sledding though. Jordan and I would go out till we were frozen come back in dry our close and go out again. Zane joined us for two of our sledding escapades and then slept through the rest of them. I even took Jordan out last night at 9 oclock on a school night! He thought i was the coolest mom ever. We had hot chocolate and a sleep over since Daddy wasn't home. I think this has been the most fun i have had in at least a year!
Driving this morning was interesting...i had to back down a hill cuz my car wouldn't make it up. So much fun :O)

Trying to get the perfect picture
I had a little photo shoot with Zane and it took forever to get a couple perfect cute shots. He kept trying to eat the reindeer. I was going to do separate shots of both the boys then some of them together. That didn't work out so well. Zane got so involved and squirmy that when i picked him up to set him next to Jordan he spit up everywhere! I had to give him a bath even. So maybe i will try again later.

Mommy look what my brother can do...
The dreaded words when your older son is referring to his baby brother. That can't be a good thing!
Once it was "Listen to the funny noise he makes when you push on his belly" AAAHHH Or, one of Jordans favorites, holding a toy really close to Zanes face because "He's making funny cross-eyed faces at me". And many more that might scare you...Well this time it was more amusing than scary.
Zane was laying on the floor having tummy time and Jordan had been watching him for a while. Jordan then procedes to push (gently) on Zanes head, making him lay his head down. He did it two more times and then i said "Jordan, what are you doing." He says "Check it out Mom, look what Zane can do." Then he does it again and sure enough "Zane looks like a teeter-totter Mommy". When you push is head down his feet go up in the air.

Kids say the cutest things...
Jordan is growing so fast and is full of so many questions. Many of the questions come at such odd moments it really makes me wonder what he wanders around thinking about. Or how he can think about something so much off the topic of what he is talking about! So yesterday he is talking to me (i can't remember what about) and he stops mid sentence and says "Mommy what is falling in love?" Of course i am in the middle of doing several things at once and I am suddenly stumped. So I say the first thing that comes to my head hoping the rest will follow. (as happens most days) "Well, it's just when you realize you love someone..." Before i could finish he giggles and says "Then you fall down. That's funny." Then he changes the topic. Whew thank goodness, cause I'm still not sure what i would have said next if that was not an acceptable answer.

Never a dull moment
As mornings go mine was pretty regular. Attempt to feed the baby while making breakfast for Jordan and getting him ready for school, while making a lunch for Nate. So that i can take Jordan to school on time. All the while making sure to remember to change the baby and burp him so that he neither pukes all over me or pees in his car seat. And doing it all in a half hour.
Most mornings things go as smoothly as can be imagined...
This morning while doing all that i go into the computer room, i don't even know why now, with my hands full of things. One of them being a full jar of peperoncinis! And like the slow person i am sometimes, i was trying to hold it in my arm that has not fully recovered. So as you can guess... I dropped them! Splattering them EVERYWHERE! All over the computers, tredmill, shelves, the baby bouncy seat and blankets and of course the floor!
After thinking and trying not to say a few choice words i was forced to take my mind to happier places to achieve a calmer state of mind. Which surprisingly worked.
What i don't understand is why when one thing goes wrong does everything has to follow suite and try to push you to the edge of sanity?!
After the pepper incident it felt like just because i remained calm i was being taunted to see if life would break the Zen state i was trying to achieve.

Training children
I can tell things will get interesting as Zane starts to develop his little personality. Today he is officially 4 months old and he decided to show some attitude. He is a very verbal child already but this was different. One of those times were you are like, 'he's to little, no way, was that a little fit! Not my baby'!!! Well I'm pretty sure it was.
He was just fine one second (i was holding him) and i went to lay him in his seat (which he hates anyhow) and i hadn't hardly got him there and he arched his back and made the nastiest growling noises and a shriek. So i thought "huh, maybe he is in pain" so i pick him up and experiment. He is fine again. I start to put him down, he does the same thing. I do it one more time just to make sure. Sure enough before i even have him all the way down he does it a third time, even more offended sounding than the first two. So that time i set him in there and blew every so slightly on his contorted face, which startled him a bit, enough to make him stop. Then i proceeded to tell him that that was ugly and unacceptable. At which time he blinked (sort of shocked like) seemed to raise one eyebrow and took to sucking his thumb all the while keeping an eye on me. He sat there quietly while i finished getting ready to take Jordan to school.
While this was going on Jordan was having trouble with the whole situation. He told me his brother was a baby and i shouldn't do that to him. He is very protective so I'm sure it will come up again and i will have to explain that Mommy isn't being mean and if i don't train Zane the way i trained him Zane will turn out like his cousins! Bratty little @%#% (i didn't say it) Fit throwing, toy stealers don't make good brothers. He understood that.
When i walked back into the room i heard Jordan explaining to Zane why he should be a good boy and telling him how much he loved him.
My heart melted and i swelled with pride at that moment!

A new week
The days are just flying by! Seems like yesterday Jordan was a baby! I was going through clothes (since Zane is growing like a weed) and i kept looking at them thinking 'no way this is to big, Zane wont fit in this'. Sure enough they fit just right. A lot of the clothes that Jordan wore at 9 months Zane is wearing at 3.5 months! Mostly because Jordan was a preemie...
And on to the cute moment of the day...
Most of you who have kids know how much babies are always sneezing when they are little. Well when we first brought home Zane whenever he would sneeze i would say "bless you". So the day that Zane sneezed all over Jordan he said "Mommy Zane blessed on me" So now instead of a sneeze Jordan calls it 'blessing'. And this morning Jordan 'blessed' oatmeal all over himself. It was a wonderful way to start the day. :O)

My husband is amazing!
The biggest thing besides thanksgiving that happened this week was me getting into a little bike accident. Thanksgiving came at a perfect time, it helped me not focus on what i didn't have(my arm)and focus on what i did have. (Two awesome kids and a very hard working husband.) Nate not only has two jobs and school to do but he got to come home and be mom as well this week. He is amazing! I still wonder how i got so lucky to get a man like him for a husband! He has the best outlook on life, no matter what happens he always has a good attitude! Something i need! I just admire how even when something gets him down he will just look on the bright side. Thats why i say "when i grow up i want to be like Nate" I love you honey!:O)
Introduction
I have always tried to keep some sort of journal so that i could remember baby moments and cute things my kids say and do...that has not worked out to well. So i thought that maybe if i started a blog i would do better at it. We will see!
